Dedication Ceremony for the Bowen Commons

21 Sep

On September 20th, Chancellor Kathy Lee presided over the dedication ceremony of the common area in the Illinois Fall Creek Center. This area will now be known as the Bowen Commons, in honor of the contribution from Robert Bowen for his wife, Terry Bowen, for her birthday. The Bowens have long been benefactors to Ivy Tech, and are mostly known for the Bowen Scholars program. Here is more on the Bowen program:

The Bowen Scholars program at Ivy Tech Community College is available approximately 50 hours per week and provides computer lab, academic advising, personal life coaching, links to community resources, monthly student meetings, cultural events, individualized tutoring, and opportunities for networking with peers, faculty and staff. Service activities are planned by Bowen Scholars. Several social activities are planned throughout the year and culminate with an annual reception in April. Financial support is contingent upon student program participation.

Would you like someone to buy half a building for you, or is that too much?
